D'Angelo. Coming off a successful debut with
Brown Sugar and even more noteworthy
Vodoo (including infamous nude video for Untitiled (How Does It Feel)), the man seemed to be on a roll in making his print in the musical landscape. But here came the drug problems and legal woes including an alleged soliciting of a cop for sexual favors that led to years of absence only with a few guests spots on other artists albums and soundtracks. Threats for a third album had been made for almost a decade. Pictures in tabloids found the singer out of shape and seemingly destitute. The notorious
James River album that was supposed to be his third release failed to see the light of day. Perhaps that is all about to change behind announcement by BET that the crooner plans to finally grace the stage. I'm not sure about you, but my anticipation for this year's awards show sure mounting. Will you be watching?
