R&B singer Mario plans 'Recovery' to jump start career

Wonder where muffled trumpet sounded singer, Mario (pronounced MAH-RHI-O) has been hiding that Spongebob Square-head? Well let the girls tell it, he's been in the studio trying to churn out a hit that will equate to his Let Me Love You success. Now mind you, I have never been a huge Mario fan. To me, it seemed that he seemed to get lost in the shuffle of a crowded scene of R&B male crooners. And after hearing him pummeling his once heroin addicted mother shape and the failure of his last album D.N.A., it seemed bleak for a butchqueen. However, taking a listen to his new track Recovery, I must say that I was a bit taken. The production value sounds solid and his vocals seemed to intertwine quite nicely. Will it be enough for him to make his mark on the current musical climate? Chile, cheese..... Listen to Recovery below.

Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, and Phylicia Rashad remake 'Steel Magnolias'

This is a remake that my sister would love!
Many a Saturday my dear older sister would make me sit with her to watch one of her favorite movies, Steel Magnolias almost every time it came on. Starring Sally Fields, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine, and Julia Roberts, this classic drama recently saw a reboot courtesy of Lifetime Television and executive producer Queen Latifah. With her also taking on the lead role originally played by Fields, the remake also stars Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott, Lance Gross, Michael Beasley, and Alfre Woodard with newcomers Adepero Oduye and Condola Rashad.
Steel Magnolias is said to premiere later in the year. Check out the preview below.

Fresh|Music: Alicia Keys "New Day"

After bagging community baby-maker Swizz Beatz and popping out his baby all by the end run of her last album, The Element of Freedom, the music world hasn't heard much from Alicia Keys for the last three years. All that is about the change with the dropping of her new single, New Day.
It's clear that Alicia is looking to come in party mood with Swizz Beatz signature sounding track.
